RESOURCES AND SUPPORTIVE LINKS
AimeeSays Aimee is an optional, confidential support tool for people navigating abusive or high-conflict relationships. It was built to address a gap many survivors describe: the ongoing mental and emotional labor of making sense of what’s happening when help isn’t immediately available. A lot of the hardest work happens between sessions—remembering details, making sense of patterns, wondering if something “counts.” While it is not therapy or legal advice, it is a supportive tool, in and out of court and therapy sessions. If you choose to use this resource, I may receive a small referral fee as an AimeeSays Affiliate. This doesn’t change your access or experience.
Coparenting Apps such as OurFamilyWizard and Talking Parents can be useful tools to help de-escalate communication patterns and help parents keep their children centered. Documentation is tamper proof, and third parties such as a co-parent specialist or parent coordinator may be included on the account for additional support.
Learn how to write a BIFF Response (Brief, Informative, Friendly & Firm). Developed by Bill Eddy, who runs the High Conflict Institute, the BIFF Response template has proved essential in communicating in charged settings.
Stay grounded and continue to be your best self despite changes in the family by maintaining connections and your own support network. Parents Helping Parents has a toll free and anonymous “Parent Stress Line” for parents to reach out for confidential, immediate support.
GoZen is an online platform of evidence-based SEL tools for kids and teens.
